What Can I do?

You can work in tandem with one of our people or a family overseas.
 

1.  You can pray for one of our people or a family.

  • collect a photo page of all our people and choose person or a family 
  • look on the back of the weekly newsletter for information about the person you choose
  • go to a special monthly prayer meeting if there is one for your person
  • ask your small group to pray for the person or family

Prayer letters are available in the rack in the foyer opposite the Information Centre. There will be a note in the newsletter indicating when a new prayer letter is available.
Tandem Times, the Global Missions newsheet, is published on the second Sunday of each month and is included in the weekly newsletter.
Spreydon Overseas - In Tandem section on the back page of the weekly newsletter also contains items for prayer.

2. You can give money to Global Missions.
How do I give?
Ask God how much He would like you to give and then trust Him to provide that money.  

You can pay by:

  • Automatic payment – forms are available from the Information stand in the foyer. Include your offering number in the 'details for payee' line when you fill out the AP form. 
  • Placing your money in the offering bowl in the Global Missions Commitment portion of the offering envelopes (available from the Information Centre) or in an envelope clearly labelled for Global Missions. Write your offering number on the outside of the envelope. 
  • EFTPOS – tell the person at the Info Centre that it is for Global Missions.

3. You can help in practical ways.

  • offer your house or a car for the use of our people when they come home for a while
  • let us know that you can help with planning missions events
  • correspond with one of our people overseas 

4. You can sponsor a child

In a slum community in Davao, Philippines.
We help very low income families through a school sponsorship and family education programme in order to develop biblically based family values and improve general quality of life. Contact: philjudy@xtra.co.nz

5. You can plan to go on a short term missions trip.

6. You can be part of the Spreydon Underground team

7. You can prepare to go and work overseas yourself. Contact someone on the Missions Council tohelp you to plan a personal preparation pathway.
