4 After-School Programmes
Cobham St Programme (CS)
- This programme is for children aged 5 (Years 1 and 2) and is largely a place to play after-school; all activities are 'free choice'.
- Afternoon tea is provided and a there is a reading/homework time of about 10-15mins.
- This programme will go on 1 trip per term.
Junior Recreation Programme (JR)
- This programme is for children in Years 2 and 3 at school and is largely a place to play after-school; all activites are 'free choice'
- Afternoon tea is provided and a there is a compulsory homework time of about 20mins.
- The children go on a trip each term and there is an optional activity each day e.g baking, craft, construction etc.
Senior Recreation Programme (SR)
- This programme is for children in Years 4 and 5 at school and is largely a place to play after-school; all activites are 'free choice'
- Afternoon tea is provided and a there is a compulsory homework time of about 25mins.
- The children go on a trip each term and there is an optional activity each day e.g baking, craft, construction etc.

Enrolment:
Please complete and return an enrolment form with payment to the Spreydon Baptist Church office, or via email at least one week in advance of the day of care.
Assembly points:
(After School) Assembly points at schools vary so please ask when you enrol your child/ren.
Pick up points:
CS - Hall at 51 Cobham St, behind Spreydon Baptist Church Gym.
JR - Spreydon Baptist Church, Foyer/Auditorium.
SR - Spreydon Baptist Church, Foyer/Gym
(All programmes will be at Spreydon Baptist Church Hospitality room if pick up is after 5.30pm.)

Transport:
After School - Transport to the programme is the responsibility of the parents/caregiver, however the children attending Somerfield, Hoon Hay, West Spreydon or Our Lady of the Assumption Schools can be picked up by chartered bus. Children attending Chch South and Manning Intermediates, Cashmere and Hillmorton High Schools need to make their own way to their programmes. *
* At least one supervisor will be on the bus at any one time.
Sign In / out:
Each child will sign themselves in on arrival at their programme. The person picking the child up must sign them out. This roll will be in an obvious place in the programme.
Behaviour:
Children are expected to behave in a sociable manner. Children who obstruct the safe working of the programme will have their caregiver contacted. The caregiver will be expected to come immediately and collect the child. No refund will be given.
Health:
Sick children will not be permitted to attend the programme. If a child becomes unwell during the programme the caregiver will be contacted to collect their child. There will be no refund.

Fee Payment:
The SHARP Trust bank account no. is: 02 0820 0602250 00 for internet banking, or you can ask for an automatic payment form.
Fees must be paid for all the days that your child is booked in for. Fees need to be paid to the SHARP bank account (0208200602250 00), one week in advance of care. Receipts will be given at the end of each term. If you fail pay your account and SHARP has to involve a debt collection agency, the collection costs incurred will be added to the total of your account.
Absences:
If your child will not be attending a day that they are enrolled for, please phone the Spreydon Baptist Church office on 3384163 ext 830 (After School) and speak to Annabel.
Refunds:
There are no refunds for absences

Staffing:
After School - There is 2 adult supervisors and a number of volunteer helpers aged 14-17 years old. There will be a ratio of 1 staff member to 4 children each day.
Policies and Procedures:
A book of current policies and procedures is available in the programme at all times for anyone to view.
Emergencies:
Our staff are trained to deal with emergencies. In the case of a serious accident involving your child the staff will contact you and take your child to the nearest medical facility or call an ambulance. In the case of a civil emergency staff will remain on site until all children are collected.
Child Safety:
The programme has a detailed Child Protection procedure, which includes the reporting of any suspected child abuse to Child, Youth and Family Services.
Complaints:
The programme has a complaints procedure. If you have any concerns please approach the Supervisor or Coordinator.
