Alpha

The Alpha course is designed primarily for people who don’t usually go to church but would like to know about the basics of the Christian faith. It gives space to ask the big questions of life ... Is there a reason for being here ... what happens when I die ... who is God? The emphasis is on exploration and discovery in a relaxed and informal environment.

What happens at Alpha?
The course meets weekly for about 10 weeks. A meal is shared together and a short DVD is shown on the topic of the week, followed by discussion in small groups where everyone is welcome to ask questions and contribute their opinion.
The topics covered in the Alpha Course are
Who is Jesus?
Why did Jesus die?
How can I have faith?
Why and how do I pray?
Why and how should I read the Bible?
How does God guide us?
How can I resist evil?
Why and how should I tell others?
Does God heal today?
What about the church?
